• Abby’s by Pinky Coffee & Sweets opened its doors to the public on September 2014. It was already located in P&J Building in Sta. Catalina Street of Dumaguete City, occupying just half of the building. The name of the establishment is from the name of the owner, Abbygale Teng, 24, a Certified Public Accountant. Pinky Delfin, a registered Nutritionist and Dietician, is the supplier of the cakes and pastries sold at the store. Thus, the “By Pinky” part of the name. Abby has always been interested in food. When her mother opened up to her about the concept of Abby’s, she was immediately taken by it; despite the fact that she was still in school. She was also going through a hard time during those days, and Abby’s was a great way to channel her focus and energy at that time. Although the wooden interior was her mom’s idea, she was the one who went on and took on the details of the store like the paint color of the walls, the paintings, the quirky cups and plates.

Today, Abby’s now occupies the whole building as it has expanded over the last couple of years to cater to its growing customer-base. It is conveniently located a block away from the downtown area of the city, which makes it a great place for professionals and tourists to hang out and grab a bite to eat. Schools are in the area so it brings in a number of students from different schools during breaks.

The majority of the interior of the shop features wood and wooden decorations, making the whole place warm and cozy. It is perfect for anyone wanting to have a reprieve from the sweltering heat or the cold weather. It is also Instagram-worthy, with all the fun paintings on the wall and the cute little tables and decorations they have all around. The place will make you feel at home and have a sense of relaxation as you munch on the treats and the meals they offer.
They offer home-cooked rice toppings that are filling and budget-friendly too. They have what they call “light bites” that features burgers, pastas, popcorn and sandwiches. They have comfort food the prepare themselves – home-made iced tea, home-made fries, home-made longganisa, bangus (milkfish), beef tapa. These are big hits. The cakes and pastries are made with love and care. They do not have preservatives and they are not overly sweet. They also offer dessert buffets for any occasion and cater to customized cakes and cupcakes.

Abby’s wants you to have a filling snack or meal without hurting your budget. They want to share your experiences with you and your friends. Catch up with your friends and meet with your classmates as you enjoy the food and ambiance of Abby’s by Pinky.
